A Quick Guideline on Journal Selection for PhD Students

Way 1 : 
1) Acquire any interested journal from different kinds of sources, e.g., reading journal publications, google, etc.
It is required to be indexed in either SCOPUS or SCI.

2) Check that journal at the website https://www.scimagojr.com/

2.1) To check your choice of journal, the selected journal should be in your research field, e.g., “Computer Science”, “Software Engineering”  (see the “quartile” in the figure).

Note: Q1 (the strongest journal) – Q4 (less strong journal)

2.2) Write down ISSN/ISBN.

2.3) Google the website of the selected journal, make sure that ISSN/ISBN in 2.2) is the same as on that website. If the numbers are difference, it may be fake journal website. You should not submit your work there.

1) Check any related journal to “Computer Science” or “Information Technology” at the following website:
